Euro RSCG has lost Volvo’s $150m (£76m) global advertising account after failing to make it through to the final stage of the car manufacturer’s review.

The Havas-owned agency has been eliminated from the pitch along with 180 Amsterdam. A Volvo spokeswoman confirms that Fallon and Arnold, which is pitching with UK independent Nitro, have made it through to the final round with a decision expected within four weeks.

Goodby Silverstein & Partners pulled out of the pitch at the end of February. The agency had been pitching with 180 Amsterdam.

The review is being handled by AAI Haystack Partnership, which was formed at the start of this year when The Haystack Group and Agency Assessments International announced an alliance.
