Midland Mainline, part of the National Express Group, has appointed Rachel Dawson as sales and marketing director. She replaces commercial director Jamie Burls, who left to join vacuum cleaner company, Vax.
Dawson will oversee the marketing and sales divisions and will also be responsible for brand and product development. She will also develop a customer relationship management programmes and handle the customer database.
Dawson joins from budget hotel brand Travelodge, where she was head of marketing, and prior to that she was at easyJet for six years. She handled a variety of senior brand management and customer communications duties during her time at the airline. She has also worked for a number of retailers including Selfridges, Woolworths and Marks & Spencer.
