Vodafone promotes live music events

Vodafone, the mobile phone operator, is launching a second year of live music events including six “secret gigs” and the Live Music Awards in September. The first event will be an Amy Winehouse gig at a secret venue in Bristol later this month.

The sponsorship, which has been organised by Octagon Marketing, will see it launch a second year of TBA concerts that will be filmed for Channel 4. It is also planning to build on last year’s awards ceremony by moving to a bigger venue and increase the number of live acts that appear.

Garry Dods, vice president of music at Octagon Marketing, says: “We aim to build on the results and learnings (from last year) and to continue to differentiate Vodafone in the mobile music market place.”
