Fruitful Advertising to produce Scottish Conservatives election campaign

The Scottish Conservatives has appointed start-up agency Fruitful Advertising and Design to develop its Scottish Parliamentary election campaign. The agency won the business following a five-way pitch.

The agency has been briefed to develop an integrated campaign that will include party political broadcasts, press, outdoor and direct marketing. It will also help to develop creative ideas for press conferences and PR campaigns.

The election, which takes place on May 3, will be the third general election to the devolved Scottish Parliament since it was created in 1999.

Fruitful, which launched earlier this month, has already picked briefs for Kelso Races, Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce and Jersey-based travel agent, Bontour.

The agency aims to keep permanent staff and costs to a minimum by bringing in freelance and specialist resources as required. It has been launched by creative director Giles Etherington, who has previously worked at JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi and Delaney Lund Knox Warren, and account director Rachel Etherington, who has previously worked at BMP, Lowe Howard Spink and M&C Saatchi.
