Debenhams is launching a new TV campaign today (Wednesday) featuring actress Jane Seymour. The campaign, which breaks this evening, also stars Hustle actress Jaime Murray in her fourth ad for the retailer.
The campaign launches during the break in tonight’s Coronation Street and uses the idea of mothers and daughters. The strapline for the ad is “Make a splash with Designers at Debenhams”.
The campaign will run for four weeks and will include four shorter ads featuring menswear, children’s wear, swimwear and womenswear.
It has been created by Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy and will be shown on ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, as well as online. Carat handled media planning and buying.
Debenhams has been struggling recently and issued a profit warning yesterday (Tuesday) after like-for-like sales for the six months to March 3 dropped by 4.5%. Pre-tax profits increased by 34.4% to £105.5m for the same period.
