Golden Wonder crisps to be relaunched

Golden Wonder, the crisp brand that went into administration last year, is being relaunched by its new owner Tatyo. The range will have new packaging and flavours and will be supported by a new advertising campaign.

The relaunch, which is due next month, will see the old Golden Wonder logo retained but on a more contemporary packaging. The TV and press campaign will launch in Scotland, where the brand has traditionally been more popular, but will be rolled out across the rest of the UK later in the year. The brand has also signed a deal with a newspaper group to help boost awareness.

Golden Wonder was bought by Tayto Northern Ireland at the start of last year after the company went into administration. The snacks manufacturer immediately sold the Wheat Crunchies and Nik Nak brands to United Biscuits UK.
