The Disney Channel, part of the Disney-ABC Television Group, has appointed Casper Bjorner as vice president marketing UK, Scandinavia and emerging markets as part of a series of promotions across business.
Bjorner, who has also been made deputy managing director Scandinavia and emerging markets, was previously executive director of the region.
The channel has also promoted executive director for programming Jonathan Boseley to vice president of programming for the region and director Nick Fuggle to executive director for business operations and finance.
All three will continue to report to Rob Gilby, managing director of Disney Channel UK, Scandinavia and Emerging Markets.
The appointments follow Disney Channel UK’s first year anniversary of its move into the Sky and Virgin Media basic packages and the launch of Disney Cinemagic. Since the shift, the company has seen a 60% increase in audience share.
