Vimto enters healthy drinks market

Vimto Soft Drinks is launching a range of indulgent dessert drinks with less than 20 calories in a move aimed at tapping into the healthy drinks market. YUM will target health conscious and female consumers and will be positioned as an alternative to a dessert.

The range, which will cost 99p for a 200ml bottle, will have six flavours including apple and cinnamon pie, summerfruit trifle and rhubarb custart. It will be available at high street retailers for 12 weeks ahead of a national roll-out.

YUM brand manager Bhavika Mistry, says: “Although healthier lifestyles are important to today’s consumers they don’t want to compromise on taste and YUM is offering a big slice of guilt-free indulgence in a little bottle.”
