McCann Erickson USA head named as EMEA president

McCann Erickson USA president Brett Gosper is to return to London as president of EMEA and to oversee the McCann UK Group. He will replace Rupert Howell, who announced his departure last week.
The network revealed last week that Giuseppe Usuelli, the Milan-based chairman of EMEA, would take on Howell’s responsibilities. But the role has now been handed to Gosper. Usuelli will however continue in the role of EMEA chairman.
As president of EMEA, Gosper will also oversee McCann UK Group as chairman and chief executive.
Gosper, in his second stint at the agency, has been at McCann’s US offices since 2005, where he was poached from TBWA New York, where he was president. His first role with McCann was in 2003, when he was appointed from Euro RSCG London to become general manager of the US office.
