Mickey leads the pack on Disney’s VoluntEARS day

It looks like Mickey Mouse did learn his lesson about tidying up from The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Instead of conjuring up hundreds of uncontrollable brooms, he joined 50 other Disney employees to help clean up part of the Thames as part of the first annual Disney International VoluntEARS Day on April 26.

The day saw over 800 volunteers from Disney Stores and the company’s European head offices in London work on 28 projects providing assistance and support to children and families throughout the UK. Other projects included gardening and painting at schools and youth centres in the Hammersmith and Fulham area.
