The Rough Guides travel brand is to create a series of holiday podcasts for Chrysalis-owned Galaxy Radio, targeting the network’s audience of over 2.6 million listeners and website users.
Every month listeners can access a destination-specific Rough Guides podcast offering insider hints and tips via Galaxy websites. The first podcast features information on US city San Francisco, with podcasts on Ibiza, New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam and Sydney to follow.
The tie-up kicked off this week is supported by on-air activity and live reads directing people to a Rough Guides-branded section on Galaxy websites.
Last year Rough Guides launched a range of branded products, fashion and travel accessories for the first time with brand licensing company Copyrights Group (MW August 24, 2006).
