The Box raises awareness of NSPCC campaign

nspccThe Box, the EMAP-owned music channel, is launching a daily music programme to support the latest wave of the NSPCC’s “Don’t Hide It” campaign. It will show viewers the latest videos before they are released.

The month-long deal, developed by broadcast marketing agency Sound, aims to raise awareness of the Don’t Hide It campaign among younger viewers and is designed to encourage children to speak out about abuse.

The Don’t Hide It Zone, which will run daily for 30 minutes, will allow viewers to see new videos from new and established artists before they reach the channel’s playlist.

Viewers will be encouraged to interact with the show by logging on to the channel website where they can log comments and find out more information about the Don’t Hide It campaign. There is also a dedicated donthideit.com website, which gives young people access to information about abuse and how to stop it.

NSPCC director of communications John Grounds says: “Working with The Box enables use to speak to teenagers in a language they can understand and in a medium that many can respond to.”
