British Airways saw a slight drop in pre-tax profits to £611m in its full year results. The drop came despite a 3.4% increase in revenue from £8.5bn to £8.2bn over the period.

The airline also announced that it has made a £350m provision to cover any potential outcome from an ongoing investigation into alleged collusion over long-haul fuel surcharges. It says it has made a “clear and comprehensive” competition compliance policy.

Chief executive Willie Walsh says that it has been a “challenging year” for passengers caused by disruption and “overly restrictive” UK security measures on hand luggage.
