Save the Children is launching a campaign urging all people in the UK named Gordon Brown to support the charity’s push for free healthcare for children in Africa. It is hoped the activity will persuade Gordon Brown MP – Britain’s next Prime Minister – to lobby the G8 on the issue next month.

The campaign is the first work from Wieden & Kennedy since the agency’s appointment in January and has seen the charity and the agency travelling the country videoing Gordon Browns and asking them to support the free healthcare initiative.

The videos can be viewed on a website – www.savethechildren.org.co.uk/gordon – and those who sign up to support the scheme will receive a tailored “thank you” message from Shameless actor David Threlfall, who is a Save the Children ambassador.
