Freeview, the free-to-air digital TV service, is launching its first major online campaign to support the launch of Freeview Playback, the new brand of digital TV recorders.
The campaign, which will launch on June 11, will include banners, skyscrapers and listings page sponsorships on sites such as lastminute.co.uk and timeout.com/london.
The aim will be to encourage customers to visit Freeview’s new microsite where they can purchase the Playback digital TV recorders online. It will be supported by press advertising and a TV listing page sponsorships that aims to reach 3.5m Londoners.
There will be additional in-store branding and advertising such as point-of-sale, consumer leaflets, national flyers and interactive display units at retailers.
The campaign has been created by 4Creative, the in-house creative team at Channel 4, with media planning and buying via M2MUK.
