Y&R arm wins 2m Virgin digital brief

Virgin Atlantic Airways is understood to have moved its £2m digital advertising business intoSaint@RKCR/Y&R out of incumbent Glue. It is not clear if there was a competitive pitch for the business.

The start-up digital agency has already started working on the account and has created an online campaign to support its leisure economy fares. The airline confirmed that it is worked with the agency.

The animated ads are featured on Virgin Atlantic’s website for flights to New York, Havana, Dubai and Miami, and includes images of exotic cocktails to create an impression of relaxation.

Saint@RKCR/Y&R was launched by David Gamble and Simon Labbett at the start of May.

The agency won its first account for Volvic after a four-way pitch against Joshua, Large and XM two weeks ago.

It was briefed to redesign the Volvic website for its parent company, Danone, and integrate it with the current TV campaign. The agency was also assigned to handle the online launch for Volvic Revive, a vitamin-fortified variant to be introduced to the UK later this year.

Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R currently handles the advertising for Virgin Atlantic, Virgin Trains, Virgin Megastores and works alongside Rapier on the Virgin Media business.
