The Engine Group to launch full-service digital agency

Peter%20ScottThe Engine Group, the marketing service group, is moving digital to the “heart of its business” with the launch of a full-service digital agency called Altogether. The new agency will merge its existing digital agencies with DC Interact, which it acquired last week.

Altogether will bring creative agency Meme, search marketing specialist Eyefall, and digital design agency DC Interact under one roof. DC Interact clients, including Tesco Personal Finance and The National Lottery, will move to the new agency, as well Meme and Eyefall clients such as The Number 118 118 and BMW.

Engine Group chief executive Peter Scott says that digital is now part of the “core DNA of today’s marketing campaigns” and Altogether “has been created in recognition of that”. He adds/ “It was imperative that we put digital capabilities at the core of the Engine offering.”

It will offer clients integrated digital strategy, planning and creative expertise as well as Web design, back-end development and search engine optimisation. DC Interact will move into the Engine’s Golden Square offices later this month.

Dave King, the co-founder of Eyefall, will become chief executive of the merged agency, and Tony Gunton, managing director of DC Interact, will become managing director of development services. Meme co-founders Anson Harris and Faraaz Marghoob will become Altogether creative director and director of planning and digital strategy respectively. Eyefall co-founder Scott Muir will become managing director of response-based marketing.
