GCap Media group marketing and interactive director Jim Cruikshank is leaving the company to join Multimap.com as general manager of its business to consumer division. He will join the global mapping service in the “next few months”.
Cruikshank was the group marketing director at GWR, the owner of Classic FM, when it merged with Capital Radio Group to become GCap in 2005 (MW March 17, 2005). He was appointed as marketing director for the Capital FM network and was later given an enlarged role.
Over recent months, he has focused on the One Network stations and the group’s digital portfolio, including Planet Rock and Chill. He has also been responsible for developing its online offering, with the launch of new products such as personalised radio player Mi-Xfm.
