New campaign – We Are What We Do

we%20are%20what%20we%20doWe Are What We Do, the social change movement behind the Anya Hindmarch I’m Not A Plastic Bag project, is launching a new campaign to encourage retailers to ditch plastic carrier bags.

The Plastic Ain’t My Bag campaign, which has been created by creative services agency Antidote, has already signed up Virgin Megastores, Dermalogica salons and Camden Lock Market as well as a range of independent stores. It is also in talks with high-end retailers such as Selfridges, which is understood to be keen to get involved with the project.

The campaign, which launches on June 14, aims to get all major high street retailers on board by Christmas. Retailers that are interested in signing up can buy a Plastic Ain’t My Bag kit, which includes window vinyls and a range of other materials with the campaign logo.

It comes as the major supermarkets move to encourage consumers to decline plastic bags. Sainsbury’s has tested a “No bag day” and Waitrose is introducing “green tills” for customers with their own bags.
