Hewlett Packard raids PepsiCo

Computer and technology giant Hewlett Packard has poached Ron Coughlin from PepsiCo to lead the worldwide marketing of its imaging and printing group (IPG). Coughlin will be responsible for driving IPG’s global marketing strategy, planning and execution across all customer segments.

He was most recently senior vice-president and chief marketing officer of PepsiCo’s international beverage business where he helped deliver double-digit revenue growth after.

IPG executive vice-president Vyomesh Joshi says Coughlin’s “track record” for delivering results and driving global execution was an important consideration.

Coughlin will be based in San Diego and take up the role next month.

HP is one of the world’s largest IT companies and spans printing, personal computing, software and IT infrastructure. It recently reported revenues of £48.6bn for the year ended April 30.
