EasyJet launches holidays arm

EasyJet is expanding its travel portfolio in a bid to take on traditional holiday operators and relegate the conventional package holiday “to the dustbin of history”.

The budget carrier, founded by Stelios Haji-Ioannou, has launched easyJetHolidays, which will give travellers the ability to create bespoke holidays based on its range of 900 flights to 75 destinations.

It will offer holidaymakers the option of combining easyJet flights with more than 10,000 hotels across Europe.

The new arm will be supported by a significant marketing campaign, which will cover national press and outdoor advertising.
