Agent Provocateur drops Kate Moss

Supermodel Kate Moss has been dropped by lingerie brand Agent Provocateur as the face of its advertising after just 12 months. It is understood the brand is currently seeking a replacement for Moss for a new campaign next month.

Agent Provocateur, known for its racy products and advertising, has confirmed it will not renew Moss’s contract. Moss featured in a series of raunchy online films, The Dreams of Miss X, and also modelled for the brand’s lingerie catalogues.

The model was dropped from a number of high profile brands – including H&M and Chanel – after being photographed allegedly snorting cocaine in September 2005 although she later picked up a string of lucrative contracts including work for Virgin Mobile, Calvin Klein and motorcycle brand Belstaff.

It has been suggested that personal conflict with Agent Provocateur co-founder Serena Rees was behind its decision to not renew the contract. The brand was founded in 1994 and has more than 30 stores throughout the world.
