DMG splashes out £12m on two agencies

Digital Marketing Group (DMG), the digital direct marketing group headed by former Euro RSCG chairman Ben Langdon (pictured), has bought two digital agencies for £12m as it continues its “buy and build” development strategy.

The group has acquired full-service digital agency Graphico New Media for £8.6m and Hyperlaunch New Media, a digital creative marketing agency, for £3.5m.

Langdon, DMG chief executive, says: “The businesses will bring new expertise and skills into the group and complement further our specialist digital marketing offering.”

Graphico was established in 1990 and specialises in website design, mobile marketing and e-commerce. Its clients include PepsiCo, Universal, Bacardi-Martini and the BBC. Bristol-based Hyperlaunch works across creative advertising, online PR and “buzz marketing” with clients including Universal Music, Samsung and Warner Bros.

DMG is seeking agencies across online marketing, traditional direct marketing and database marketing. Earlier this year DMG bought digital agency Cheeze and data specialist Jaywing for £24m.
