Vanneck leaves Telegraph to return to The Times

Telegraph marketing director Katie Vanneck is leaving to join The Times as sales and marketing director. She will replace Simon Bell, who resigned last month.

The move sees Vanneck return to The Times after just over two-and-a-half years at The Telegraph. She will leave The Telegraph tomorrow to start a three-month period of gardening leave.

During her time at The Telegraph, she was responsible for shifting its advertising spend away from broadcast and into digital, in a bid to move away from big brand advertising.

Vanneck started her career at The Times in 1996 as a graduate trainee. She was later became digital director and was promotions director in 2003.
