Scottish & Newcastle UK is launching a television ad for the Spanish lager San Miguel. The 30-second advertisement, created by Harrison Troughton Wunderman, is part of a £12m campaign planned for the premium beer brand this year.

The new execution breaks today (Wednesday) nationally and will run throughout July and August initially. The commercial, entitled Three Ships, aims to underline San Miguel’s Spanish authenticity.

San Miguel UK brand manager Ann Morrow says: “The new film targets the ‘more inquisitive’ individual – a person who is likely to look at things more deeply and appreciate there is more to Spain than the Costa del Sol.” Media planning and buying is through Starcom.
