Miller has been in the publishing industry for more than 40 years and was group chairman and chief executive of EMAP from 1985 to 2003. He is also chairman of the advisory board of Sport Media UK, chairman of Channel 4’s new business board and he was non-executive chairman of HMV Group until July 2005.

CMG owns one of Europe’s largest online motorsport communities – www.crash.net – as well as Autocourse Grand Prix Archive, an electronic database of Formula 1 statistics. The company also acquired motorsport titles Autocourse, Motorcourse and Rallycourse from Profile Media Group three years ago.

Miller says: “I am joining Crash Media Group at a time when, not only is it continuing to develop its core products, but is also growing and expanding its interests in online media for the motorsport and automotive industry, both nationally and internationally.”
