Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) is launching its first above-the-line campaign for Russian beer Baltika since its UK launch in 2003. The outdoor campaign has been created by Brave and breaks next week.

Posters will run in London, Brighton, Manchester and Glasgow saying that all good things – in this case Baltika – are born out of a climate of change. They will feature the strapline “From the Fall of the Iron Curtain Rises Russia’s No. 1 Beer”.

S&N’s marketing manager Sharon Annette says: “The new campaign has been devised to introduce new drinkers to the brand by tapping into the positive energy that has powered the rebirth of Russia and, in turn, driven the success of Baltika in the UK in a relatively short space of time.”

The outdoor campaign is part of a £4m marketing push for the brand that also includes point of sale and sampling activity.
