Heineken names group commercial director

Dutch lager brand Heineken has announced the appointment of Stefan Orlowski as group commerce director. He will be responsible for wholesale operations, marketing, sales and innovation and, specifically, building the Heineken brand.

Orlowski, who starts in his role in October will report to Jean-FranÁois van Boxmeer, chairman and chief executive officer. He replaces Peter van Campen, who left the company in June after clashing with Boxmeer over “differing views” (MW June 28).

Orlowski moved from investment company Harbin but was previously employed by Heineken in a variety of senior management roles in central and Eastern Europe between 1998 and 2006. He was most recently chief operating officer for central and Eastern Europe.
