The capital’s tourism body VisitLondon is rolling out a £500,000 outdoor ad campaign to promote the city’s rivers, canals, lakes and lidos. The campaign breaks next week in London and the south-east and will involve poster, bus sides and Tube advertising.

Alongside the poster campaign, 800,000 Waterside London guides will be distributed to the London press, including Time Out London magazine. They will also be available in Tourist Information Centres, bars and cafés.

VisitLondon marketing director Martine Ainsworth-Wells says: “The campaign will highlight the breadth and diversity of London’s waterside attractions. Even people who know London well will discover new experiences, whether it’s a high speed boat trip, a new waterside restaurant or a day spent foraging for treasure on the banks of the Thames.”
