Heineken appoints UK managing director from within

Heineken has promoted its director of commercial development for its international business David Forde to UK managing director. He replaces Rob Marijnen, who has moved to a new Africa-based role within the group.

Forde has been with the Dutch brewer for almost 20 years and has been director of commercial development for Heineken International for five years. He previously worked in marketing and brand management after initially working in sales.

The appointment follows the departure of Heineken global marketing chief Peter van Campen who left the company following a dispute with chief executive Jean-Francois van Boxmeer (MW June 28).
