Guardian Media Group Radio has appointed Sarah Bellamy to the new role of director of digital media. Bellamy joins from TV production company Endemol, where she was commercial operations director.
Bellamy will be responsible for developing opportunities across interactive and digital platforms for the group’s 11 stations, including the Smooth and Real Radio brands, and for the content across its station websites. She will report to Stuart Taylor, who recently took over as commercial director.
GMG Radio chief executive John Myers says Bellamy’s appointment “underlines” the importance that the group is placing on digital and interactive development.
Bellamy was at Endemol for seven years and was responsible for its digital media and brand licensed products and the management of Endemol Interactive Productions, Endemol Service Provider and Endemol Gaming and Brand Licensing. She is also a former managing director of Endemol gaming.
