Britvic’s long-serving marketing director Andrew Marsden is stepping down after ten years. He will leave the soft drinks company on August 1 without a job to go to.
Marsden says he is leaving to “expand my career outside the soft drinks industry”. Chief executive Paul Moody will oversee marketing until a replacement is found.
Moody says: “Andrew is Britvic’s longest serving director and has been a key figure in the development of our business.”
Marsden is credited with making Robinson’s a top ten grocery brand and has worked on the launch of new products such as J20 and Fruit Shoot.
Before joining Britvic, Marsden spent 15 years at Unilever, working his way up to marketing director of HP Foods in 1994.
He is president of The Marketing Society, as well as an Incorporated Society of British Advertisers councillor and a member of the Governmental Advisory Committee on advertising.
