Orange offers video-on-demand films from Disney

Orange has signed a deal with Disney-ABC International Television to make Disney films available on-demand on the mobile company’s internet TV service, which launches later this year. It is the first content deal that Orange has signed for its UK service.

The France Telecom-owned company will be able to offer video-on-demand films from Walt Disney Pictures, Touchstone Pictures and Miramax films in the UK as part of the agreement.

Orange’s director of ipTV Tim Pearson says: “We’re committed to developing a digital TV service that will allow our customers to get more from their TV by putting them in control of the best quality entertainment with the flexibility to watch what they want, when they want, how they want.”

Orange already has television services in France, Spain, Mauritius, Senegal and Poland.
