Naked Juices enter UK market

US smoothie brand Naked Juice is to launch in the UK as it hopes to grab a slice of the growing functional drinks market.

Naked Juice is a combination of fruit juice and purées blended with natural vitamins and superfoods, such echinacea and guarana.

The brand will be available in 450ml bottles and, initially, sold at Waitrose outlets from September 24.

Four flavours will be sold on Waitrose’s shelves, including Green Machine and Black & Blueberry Rush.

Naked Juice says Green Machine is a healthy blend of broccoli, spinach, bluegreen algae, spirulina seaweed, along with wheatgrass and echinacea.

The 450ml bottles will be priced at £2.30 and will also be available at various festivals around the country.

The smoothie brand was inspired by the juices launched on the beaches of Santa Monica in the 1980s.
