The Krankies star in Scottish online bingo commercial

krankiesFormer children’s TV entertainers The Krankies are starring in a heavyweight campaign for STV Bingo, an online service from the Scottish broadcaster.

The two-month campaign, which breaks on August 13, promotes a free £10 bet and is the first TV support for the service.

The campaign was created by Scottish agency The Union and stars the Krankies as giant bingo balls in a bingo machine watching computer users playing online. It will also feature the Krankies’ catchphrase “Fandabidozie”.

The double act shot to fame in the 1980s on TV shows such as Crackerjack, Krankie Klub and KTV, following a successful stage career in the 1970s.

STV Bingo is managed by Cashcade, which also houses the gambling and sites. The sites generate over £20m gross gaming revenue a year.
