Fox’s Biscuits, the Northern Foods-owned brand, has appointed Mother to handle its £5m advertising account after a three-way pitch against WCRS and Hurrell and Dawson. Incumbent Propaganda did not repitch for the business.

It is understood that the biscuit company is seeking to boost sales of its range, which includes the Rocky (pictured) and Echo brands and classic biscuits such as Party Rings.

The company is thought to be keen to boost sales in the face of rising costs of ingredients, such as cocoa, milk and wheat, but also as consumers demand healthier products. A campaign is expected to break in the new year.

The appointment follows an overhaul of the brand’s identity and packaging by designed agency Brandopus. It has created a new multi-coloured logo that aims to reinforce its position as a quality brand.
