Nitro seeks UK buy-outs to establish London hub

Nitro is understood to be “actively” hunting a number of UK acquisitions in order to build its London agency to the same size as its New York and Shanghai offices.

The London agency has around 80 people in London, but it is understood to be keen to achieve a “critical mass” by doubling in size. It follows wins for Unilever “healthy” ice-cream brand Frusi (MW last week) and Volvo, which it won earlier this year with US agency Arnold.

Nitro founder Chris Clarke says that growing the London agency is “critical” to its success: “We need to build scale via organic growth and suitable acquisitions. For us, London is the hub for Europe.”
