TalkSport launches Rugby World Cup coverage campaign

National sports radio station TalkSport is launching a major marketing campaign to support its coverage of the forthcoming Rugby World Cup. It aims to promote its signing of former international rugby stars Will Carling and David Campese as host presenters.

The campaign, which has been developed by Lionhouse Creative, will feature Carling and Campese and will run with the strap line “Heavyweight coverage of the Rugby World Cup 2007”. The media planning and buying is through Mindshare.

It will run on posters nationally and in over 600 pub toilets, which will be targeted around the rugby union heartland across the UK. The radio station will be bringing reports and updates from each match in the tournament with reporting from Paris, Cardiff, Edinburgh and Marseille.
