Unilever has appointed Laura Klauberg as global media chief to replace Alan Rutherford, who left the packaged goods giant for Publicis in June to lead the global expansion of its digital network, Digitas.
Klauberg takes up the post at the end of the month and moves from her role as vice-president media for the Americas.
She has held a variety of roles at Unilever, including vice-president marketing shared services in the US, overseeing media planning and integrated marketing.
Prior to this she was the senior marketer responsible for Unilever’s prestige fragrance brands such as Calvin Klein, Vera Wang and Cerruti.
Rutherford left Unilever unexpectedly in June after spending more than nine years as worldwide media chief.
