The Times launches glossy fashion magazine to boost sales

The Times, the News International-owned broadsheet, is launching an upmarket quarterly magazine called Luxx in a bid to reverse declining sales. The first issue will be available on November 17.

The glossy, large format magazine will be dedicated to “showcasing the very best things in modern life that money can buy” and has already attracted advertising from brands such as Jimmy Choo, Raymond Weil Watches and Dom Perignon.

It will cover a variety of subjects across men’s and women’s fashion and accessories to design property and collecting.

The launch of Luxx’s comes just weeks after rival Telegraph Media Group’s launched a biannual glossy magazine ST Fashion, which is also aims to

attract luxury brand advertising.

The latest Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) figures revealed that The Times circulation fell by 5.36% year on year to 638,820 copies
