Agatha Christie novels become language learning titles

The rejuvenation of Agatha Christie continues with the launch of a series of English language learning books based on her novels. The educational publisher Person Longman is rolling out the series as part of the Penguin Reader series.

The move comes just weeks after HarperCollins revealed it is revamping the crime writer’s books for a younger audience by publishing illustrated versions of her titles (MW†August 16).

The first two books in the language learning series will be Hercule Poirot adventure Death on the Nile and The Body in the Library, featuring spinster detective Miss Marple. The books will go on sale in spring next year.
