The Leith Agency wins 1.5m Health Promotion Agency Northern Ireland ad account

Health Promotion Agency Northern Ireland (HPANI) has appointed The Leith Agency to its £1.5m advertising account after a three-way pitch against Northern Irish agencies, Navigator Blue and AV Browne. The incumbent agency, Genesis Advertising, did not repitch.

The Edinburgh-based advertising agency will create campaigns promoting physical activity, positive mental health and the ban on smoking in public places. It will also develop work to tackle drug and alcohol problems.

Brian Coane, group account director at Leith, says: “The issues that the campaigns tackle are challenging but rewarding work.”

The agency, part of the Cello Group, has created a number of campaigns on smoking, drugs and hand hygiene for the Scottish Executive and Health Protection Scotland.

HPANI was set up in 1990 as an agency of the Department of Health, Social Services and Public Safety.
