Manchester ad agency BJL has poached Charlotte Thompson (pictured) from full-service rival McCann Erickson Communications House to head business development. Thompson will also join the board.
At McCann Erickson Communciations House Thompson, who was the agency’s youngest ever managing partner, ran accounts including Aldi and UPS and grew its public sector offering.
The appointment is the second senior hire by BJL in recent months. Dave Robinson, former Bartle Bogle Hegarty production director, joined in August as head of operations. Thompson will join the agency in October.
The agency’s clients include British Airways, Del Monte and Bradford & Bingley. Earlier this month it won a multimillion pound account with Regus Group, the office provider. BJL will be the lead agency for the global account and will be involved in repositioning the company as a provider of flexible work solutions.
