New campaign: Virgin Media Television promotes ‘proper telly’

Virgin%201%20Proper%20TellyVirgin Media Television is launching a heavyweight cross-platform marketing campaign promising “proper telly” to support the arrival of its flagship entertainment channel Virgin 1.

The campaign promotes awareness of the launch date and supporting key programmes from the first month’s schedule. It features the strapline “Proper Telly”.

It starts on Friday ahead of the channel’s launch on the Freeview, cable and satellite platforms next Monday. A burst of television advertising will air for two weeks across ITV2, 3 and 4, E4, More4, FilmFour and Five US as well as across promotional airtime on Virgin TV’s channels. It will be supported by cinema ads, which will break in October, and press ads, which will break next week.

The campaign has been created in house and with Virgin TV roster agency The Gallery. PHD Rocket is handling media planning and buying with online production through Jam.
