Poke drives WWF’s climate change campaign

WWF has appointed Poke to promote its Climate Change Bill campaign. The bill aims to cut the UK’s carbon emissions but the conservation organisation is lobbying the Government to include emissions from international aviation and shipping.

The WWF also wants to recruit new supporters. Lobbyists will take models of a giant plane and boat to parliament in November when the bill has its second reading.

Poke has created a microsite where video blogs will show the models being built and supporters can sign a petition and lobby their MP. The agency will seed the campaign through YouTube, Facebook and blogs through the four-week campaign.

WWF says carbon emissions from aviation are the fastest growing source of emissions in the UK. The campaign will run until the bill becomes law next summer.
