RKCR/Y&R has been axed from Times Media’s £15m advertising account following the arrival of Katie Vanneck (pictured) as sales and marketing director. She has handed the business to CHI & Partners without a pitch.
The move means CHI has resigned its £8m Telegraph account, leaving the newspaper group without an agency. Vanneck moved to the Times Media from the Telegraph earlier this month.
RKCR/Y&R had held the business for 12 years. CHI will also handle the newspaper’s digital business, previously held by integrated agency Joshua.
Media planning and buying, held by MindShare, is not thought to be affected.
