BA promotes its City credentials

British Airways (BA) is launching an ad campaign to promote its services from London City airport and remind flyers it operates from there as well as major hub Heathrow.

The marketing push, created by BJL, will target business travellers, and cover press and outdoor. It will use the strapline: “Fly direct from London City” and list destinations Edinburgh, Zurich, Madrid, Frankfurt, Milan and Glasgow.

The campaign features iconic images of London including Tower Bridge and Westminster to highlight the proximity of London City airport to the Square Mile, Canary Wharf and London.

Last month the flagship carrier launched its long-awaited “Upgrade to BA” brand campaign, the first major push to be created by Bartle Bogle Hegarty since it won the BA account two years ago (MW September 6).
