Vallance Curruthers wins Aer Lingus ad account

Aer Lingus has appointed Vallance Carruthers Coleman Priest (VCCP) to its advertising account. VCCP won against a shortlist of Mustoes, Delaney Lund Knox Warren and Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy following a pitch held through the AAR.

Aer Lingus last reviewed its advertising in March 2003. The account was moved out of the Dublin-based BBDO network agency, Irish International, into Rothco, an independent Dublin shop.

Abbot Mead Vickers.BBDO previously handled UK advertising for the airline, although the account was largely inactive at the time of review. Last year it had an advertising spend of £1.8m, according to Nielsen Media Research.
