Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy (MCBD) has poached TBWA/London joint creative director Danny Brooke-Taylor to become its executive creative director. Marketing Week revealed last week that the agency was looking for a “hot” executive to boost its creative credentials.
Brooke-Taylor leaves just four months after joint creative director Tony McTear departed (MW May 31). McTear was replaced by former FCB creative Al Young in July.
Brooke-Taylor joined TBWA/London from BDH/TBWA (now TBWA/Manchester) – where he had been creative director since 1998 – in October 2004. He was promoted to joint creative director alongside McTear in May 2005 following the departure of Trevor Beattie to launch Beattie McGuinness Bungay.
Brooke-Taylor joined BDH in 1994 following a stint at JWT Manchester.
MCBD was founded in June 1999 by Jeremy Miles, Helen Calcraft (pictured), Paul Briginshaw and Malcolm Duffy as the first major breakaway from Abbott Mead Vickers.BBDO. The agency was unavailable for comment.
