RAB restructures to improve customer focus

The Radio Advertising Bureau, the industry marketing body, is restructuring to improve its customer focus. The changes will see a strategy consultant appointed to handle each of the major agency groups to give them a single point of contact.

The RAB has appointed Natalie Scott, from CBS Outdoor, Mike Holt, from independent production company Somethin’ Else, and Nicci Roffey from News International as consultants. They will join the existing team of Judith Spilsbury, Jo Coltman and Mark Williams.

It is hoped that the development of closer relationships will help the RAB to work on more bespoke briefs with clients, improve creative consultations and facilitate cross industry briefs.

Simon Redican, managing director of the RAB, says: “In an age of bewildering choice, advertisers and agencies want to know how each medium can specifically work for them. Radio is now multi-platform – there are more new and exciting opportunities than ever before and we want to make sure people are considering radio and getting the best out of the medium.”
